One of the character traits that has marked us as a church has been the incredible GIVING spirit of the many people who make up Heritage Church.

 

Volunteering is a brilliant way to build great friendships whilst also practically helping BUILD the church and making weekend services AMAZING for all who come and attend.

 

Volunteering is a fantastic way to practically help us build the church and make our weekend service amazing.

 

It is also a great way for you to meet new friends and get connected into the HEART of our church.

Our teams have lots of fun serving together, they build life-giving relationship and they know they are making a huge difference by making church great for others.

 

When we serve others, our hearts are open to LIFE-CHANGING spiritual transformation and GROWTH; We become more Christ-centered.

 

And, through our loving relationship with our Heavenly Father, we discover satisfaction and fulfilment in His purpose for our lives.

 

God created us to CONTRIBUTE, not just to consume.

 

We were made to make a difference.  What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of your life.

 

The Bible says we’re created to serve, saved to serve,  gifted to serve, commanded to serve, needed to serve, accountable to serve, and will be rewarded according to our service.

 

Serving is even ingrained in our mission statement – Love God, Encourage One Another, Serve our Community. 

 

The first part of our mission – Love God.  We are to serve God by spreading the Good News.  We are blessed to be able to offer our beautiful facility as a place to worship God and teach His word.  Another way to serve God is to maintain his property.

 

The second part of the mission – Encourage One Another.  We reach others by showing God’s love for them in practical ways and especially in times of crisis with a helping hand. 

 

The third part of the mission – Serve our Community.  This is a way for us to show that God’s love is for everyone, even if they never come to our church and listen to our message. We show God’s love the most when we serve others with no strings attached.

 

Most teams serve twice a month.
